While Alltel is not the largest cellular provider in the country, they are still keeping up with the smartphone and touchscreen trends with the rest of the major providers. The Samsung Delve from Alltel incorporates a camera phone, music player and global positioning all in one device with a smooth, user-friendly touchscreen interface.
The Delve is the first phone you can get in the US with Samsung’s TouchWhiz technology, and the menu can be adjusted to either an icon or a list design. It gets excellent call quality and allows you to have a note pad and voice memo open while you are on a call. The Delve has a bright 3-inch display so you can easily navigate the menu or shortcut bar, and utilizes handwriting recognition technology as well.
While it is great for taking calls, leaving messages and taking notes on the go, the Delve also comes equipped with a 2-megapixel camera, with loads of options, such as auto focus, self-timer and four picture quality settings. It also has a music player that will support album art, and is very easy to use. Some of its other most useful features include Bluetooth compatibility, speaker phone, voice dialing and commands, an input for USB mass storage drives and GPS that works in sync with directional applications.
Alltel might not be the largest service provider, but the Samsung Delve is an outstanding phone they are offering at a very reasonable price, proving you don’t need to be a big name to be on the cutting edge.
