Sony Ericsson Launches New Slider

Sony’s retaliation to Nokia’s N97 with its Live Desktop feature is the T715 slider with what they’re calling a ‘smart desktop feature’. This will allow users to direct reminders of appointments, notes and also includes special animations to remind users of birthdays and global events etc.

The handset also features -
  • 3G connectivity with HSDPA, EDGE/GPRS
  • a 2.2-inch display 240 x 320 pixel resolution
  • 3.2 megapixel camera with Photo light with geotagging on Google Maps (preloaded)
  • Bluetooth
  • MicroSD card support
  • FM radio with RDSTrackID
The T715's equipped with the ability to review the history of all conversations as you go along. Some of the other preloaded features in terms of apps include AccuWeather.com and that’s something that could be quite handy considering the weather outside just now. It also supports Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync.

“The T715 is a sophisticated slider mobile phone that fits a busy lifestyle and is perfect for those who are looking for a phone with practical and up-to-date features” said Quentin Cordier, Marketing Business Manager at Sony Ericsson. “Building on our current 3G portfolio, the T715 allows us to bring 3G mobile phones to even more markets giving them high speed internet access wherever they are. With a premium brushed aluminum cover and glossy front, this new mobile phone demonstrates the sophisticated design language consumers have come to expect from Sony Ericsson.”

Also announced was the Bluetooth Headset VH310 weighing in at only 10 grams. The VH310 lasts for more than 20 days on one charge.
